You pack straight down into one deep main compartment instead of splitting gear across two halves. The lid unzips from the top so you can grab a layer in a crowded airport without opening the entire case on the floor.

Top-Opening and Frame Cases
Packing from the top changes how you live out of a suitcase in small hotel rooms. We built this twenty-inch carry-on with a deep trunk compartment, an aluminium alloy frame, and a wide-set handle that leaves the packing floor flat. The polycarbonate shell takes the knocks of travel in stride.

We set a rigid aluminium alloy frame inside the three-layer polycarbonate shell. It reinforces the structure against rough baggage handling and heavy impacts while keeping the empty weight down to eight pounds.
The telescoping trolley tubes run along the outer edges of the case rather than through the middle. This wide stance frees up interior room and creates a flat base for folded shirts and packing cubes.
Four dual spinner wheels turn silently in any direction across carpets and rough terminal concourses. The built-in TSA combination lock secures the heavy-duty zippers flush against the frame.
